Day 4: Character Bodies & Clothing

Streaming art can be fun, and I'm enjoying sharing the process now that I got over the initial scary bits. Thank you to the community of game devs/artists for helping me get through this! I enjoyed Day 4 a ton!

I must say, day 4 was a HUGE confidence boost to my art abilities and I finished the course I was working through! Thank you for everyone’s support through this journey so far! I hope I can help inspire anyone looking to get into some art. This was a stream chock-full of raw art creation, and I can’t wait to see what I can make for my game!

What I learned on Day 4:

  • I learned quite a bit on Day 4, the main thing being that art takes practice.
  • I have a lot of fun drawing characters
  • Hair styles are more difficult than they look; still struggling but getting better!
  • Although I like the cute styles, I also enjoy making some goofy things to keep it light.
  • Hands gripping objects can look sus
  • Thicker lines are great for defining character details from a distance
