Vibe Clicker – Week 3: Dev playthrough and upgrade improvements

I implemented several additions to the game, including the 40, yes, that's right, 40 different upgrade options.

This week was a HUGE progress week. I implemented several additions to the game, including the 40, yes, that’s right, 40 different upgrade options. Balancing these will be a nightmare, but I’m prepared to play my game since it’s pretty fun!

Here are a few changes this week:

  • New progression clicker art based on career level: Monitor v1, Monitor v2, Lil AI Guy, Creepy VibeOrb thing
  • Enabled the ability to make upgrades require certain levels of other upgrades rather than just level 1
  • Added new stat tracking
  • HUGE refactor on the upgrades and stat tracking to enable easier highscores (once I get that added)
  • Added tooltips for showing the upgrade data
  • TONS of new sounds
  • Fixed career progression and made it so the upgrade is visible

In case you missed it, I did two streams last week (Sunday is included in last week, okay?), so make sure to check out the playlist for all the streams! However, as promised, here’s the stream video:
