Day 6: Key gets designed!

I started my game art and got the main character, Key, setup for animation! I should start getting more assets done so I can start building the game, finally!! My art journey is motivating me to continue, even if it's getting tough.

This was a REALLY fun art stream! I went from nothing to an original character design ready for animation! I also had some time to work on the environment decor a little. I created 3 variations of Key (front, side and back view) as well as his chair and some office plants. Check out the stream below if you wanna see how it went!

What I learned on day 6:

  • Characters don’t need to be perfect, they just need to be consistent
  • I learned that it’s a good idea to sketch variations before going all in on an idea
  • I made one concept and loved it, so I went with it and embraced the strange
  • Having fun is not always tied to completing work, but seeing my art come to life is rewarding
  • I feel like I should have started digital art a long time ago…START TODAY if you are looking for your sign

Here is a photo op from today’s stream 🙂 Key has Sweater Armor, and Greaves of Grief. His chair of Trolling is also to be found!
